A high-pro­file ‘an­gel’ joins the Sil­i­con Val­ley crew back­ing an an­ti-ag­ing up­start with an eye on PhII

Sil­i­con Val­ley’s mis­sion to con­quer ag­ing rages on, as two high-pro­file VCs are lead­ing a new Se­ries C in the field.

BioAge Labs, a Rich­mond, CA-based biotech, an­nounced a $90 mil­lion fundrais­ing round co-led by An­dreessen Horowitz and se­r­i­al en­tre­pre­neur Elad Gil of Airbnb, Stripe and Twit­ter fame. The cash is ex­pect­ed to help de­vel­op the com­pa­ny’s pipeline, aug­ment its AI-based tech­nol­o­gy that maps the mol­e­c­u­lar path­ways im­pact­ing longevi­ty and fur­ther ex­pand test­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ties in pre­dic­tive mod­els of age-re­lat­ed dis­eases.
