Updated: Amgen in advanced talks for Horizon, WSJ reports; Sanofi pulls out
Drugmakers Horizon and Amgen are in advanced talks about a deal, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday, while Sanofi separately announced Sunday that it has pulled out of the discussions.
Amgen and Sanofi, along with Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen, were the three potential bidders that Horizon disclosed late last month, saying it was in preliminary discussions about a takeover. Janssen pulled out of the talks on Dec. 3, and Sanofi said Sunday that it couldn’t reach an agreement on price with Horizon.
