Amgen to cut 350 staffers following $28B Horizon takeover

Amgen is cutting 350 employees in the wake of its $28 billion Horizon acquisition, the company told Endpoints News on Tuesday.

Affected roles will be “largely where there is overlap with existing teams at Amgen,” the company said, adding that more than 80% of legacy Horizon employees in the US will have jobs at Amgen.

“We do not take these decisions lightly, and we appreciate the contributions of those employees being impacted,” Amgen said. “We will treat them with respect and offer support through the process.”
