As­traZeneca ad­dress­es re­port that CEO Pas­cal So­ri­ot plans to de­part

As­traZeneca brushed off a news re­port that long­time CEO Pas­cal So­ri­ot plans to leave the com­pa­ny.

British tabloid The Dai­ly Mail on Sun­day had re­port­ed that the 64-year-old chief may de­part as soon as next year, cit­ing an un­named source. As­traZeneca’s stock was down more than 2% on Mon­day af­ter­noon, trad­ing at about $67 per share.

An As­traZeneca spokesper­son told End­points News via email that the com­pa­ny doesn’t “com­ment on mar­ket ru­mors.”
