Backed by ex-Google CEO Er­ic Schmidt, a new non­prof­it looks to 'solve sci­ence' with AI

Much of the hype in bio­phar­ma AI is built around chang­ing the world of drug de­vel­op­ment. A new non­prof­it thinks the right place to start is by build­ing a bet­ter lab as­sis­tant.

San Fran­cis­co-based Fu­ture House launched ear­li­er this month to cre­ate “AI sci­en­tists” that can search lit­er­a­ture, run ex­per­i­ments, and crunch datasets.

“When you en­counter some­thing that you have to do, where you think, ‘God­dammit, there should re­al­ly be an AI that can do this for me,’ you put it down,” Fu­ture House CEO Sam Ro­driques told End­points News.
