Bay­er to make sig­nif­i­cant cuts, rolls out new mod­el at 'ex­pense of many man­age­r­i­al em­ploy­ees'

Bay­er CEO Bill An­der­son is start­ing to de­liv­er on the ma­jor changes and cuts he’s been sig­nal­ing over the last few months.

The Ger­man phar­ma gi­ant said Wednes­day that it will roll out a new op­er­at­ing mod­el, one de­signed to cut bu­reau­cra­cy and speed up de­ci­sion-mak­ing. That in­cludes elim­i­nat­ing the jobs of “many man­age­r­i­al em­ploy­ees,” with cuts ex­pect­ed to take place over the com­ing months and to be com­plet­ed by the end of 2025, Bay­er said.
