
Bayer's research and development teams settle into new, $140M Kendall Square digs
Bayer spent a considerable amount of time during the pandemic — and $140 million in cash — to build out the top two floors at 238 Main Street at Kendall Square for its new US research center. And they pulled the wraps off this week to show off a new hub site that employs all the buzziest architectural features in modern office and lab design, from an open-space approach to new laboratories for cell and tissue culture experiments as well as chemistry proteomics labs.
