Bay­er's re­search and de­vel­op­ment teams set­tle in­to new, $140M Kendall Square digs

Bay­er spent a con­sid­er­able amount of time dur­ing the pan­dem­ic — and $140 mil­lion in cash — to build out the top two floors at 238 Main Street at Kendall Square for its new US re­search cen­ter. And they pulled the wraps off this week to show off a new hub site that em­ploys all the buzzi­est ar­chi­tec­tur­al fea­tures in mod­ern of­fice and lab de­sign, from an open-space ap­proach to new lab­o­ra­to­ries for cell and tis­sue cul­ture ex­per­i­ments as well as chem­istry pro­teomics labs.
