Bio­Mar­in's chief com­mer­cial of­fi­cer step­ping down, search for suc­ces­sor be­gins

Bio­Marin’s chief com­mer­cial of­fi­cer Jeff Ajer is leav­ing the com­pa­ny. Bio­Marin is ter­mi­nat­ing his em­ploy­ment “with­out cause,” it said in an SEC fil­ing on Thurs­day, not­ing Ajer will step down in Ju­ly.

In an emailed state­ment to End­points News, Bio­Marin said it has be­gun a search for Ajer’s suc­ces­sor, not­ing Ajer will con­tin­ue to lead the com­mer­cial op­er­a­tions in the in­ter­im. The com­pa­ny added its ap­pre­ci­a­tion for Ajer and the “piv­otal role” he played in rolling out its med­i­cines over more than a decade as com­mer­cial chief.
