Bios­plice, a for­mer an­ti-ag­ing uni­corn, slash­es staff in lat­est episode of its long fall from grace

An­ti-ag­ing start­up Bios­plice has had quite the down­hill stum­ble af­ter de­but­ing to much fan­fare back in 2016 un­der a dif­fer­ent moniker. Now, the biotech is lay­ing off a large swath of its staff as it un­der­goes a pipeline over­haul.

Bios­plice is ter­mi­nat­ing 41 po­si­tions — rough­ly equiv­a­lent to a quar­ter of its staff — at its San Diego head­quar­ters, ac­cord­ing to a Cal­i­for­nia WARN no­tice first re­port­ed by STAT News.
