Cham­ber of Com­merce looks to halt drug price ne­go­ti­a­tions be­fore they be­gin

With all eyes on sev­er­al pend­ing law­suits over CMS’ new drug price-set­ting abil­i­ties, the US Cham­ber of Com­merce yes­ter­day took its suit one step fur­ther, call­ing on an Ohio dis­trict court to halt CMS’ on­go­ing process­es while the lit­i­ga­tion plays out.

The law­suit comes less than two months be­fore CMS is ex­pect­ed to an­nounce the first 10 drugs that will have to sub­mit to the ne­go­ti­a­tion process or face steep penal­ties.
