CMS’ Medicare ne­go­ti­a­tion list is com­ing next week. Here’s what to ex­pect

The clock is tick­ing as phar­ma com­pa­nies wait to see what 10 Medicare Part D drugs will be up for the first round of price ne­go­ti­a­tion un­der the In­fla­tion Re­duc­tion Act.

The CMS is ex­pect­ed to un­veil the list ear­ly next week ahead of an event on Tues­day, un­named sources told Politi­co. Un­der the new law en­act­ed last sum­mer, the agency is re­quired to pub­lish the list no lat­er than Sept. 1.

CMS de­clined to pro­vide a more spe­cif­ic time­line for the list’s pub­li­ca­tion.
