Court grants FTC injunction over IQVIA's deal with Propel Media and DeepIntent

A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction to the Federal Trade Commission over IQVIA’s proposed acquisition of Propel Media and its data-driven healthcare marketing subsidiary DeepIntent.

The FTC initially filed a complaint in July to block the sale.

Judge Edgardo Ramos of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York agreed with the FTC. In his ruling on Friday, Ramos said there is “reasonable probability that the proposed acquisition will substantially impair competition in the relevant market.”
