
Covid-19 roundup: Biden outlines virus plan, names Rick Bright to task force; Arcturus reads out positive Phase I/II vaccine data
On the heels of winning the election over the weekend, president-elect Joe Biden has released a plan for how he would combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
The blueprint, announced on his transition website, calls for seven main points, among them investing $25 billion in vaccine distribution as well as utilizing the Defense Production Act to shore up PPE supplies nationwide. In addition, Biden is planning to set up his own Covid-19 task force led by former surgeon general Vivek Murthy, ex-FDA chief David Kessler and Yale Medicine associate dean Marcella Nunez-Smith, the Washington Post reported.
