Covid-19 roundup: Eli Lil­ly with­draws mAbs from EMA re­view

The World Health Or­ga­ni­za­tion has grant­ed In­di­an-pro­duced Covid-19 vac­cine emer­gency use list­ing, adding to its port­fo­lio of ac­cept­able vac­cines.

A ad­vi­so­ry group de­ter­mined that Co­v­ax­in, pro­duced by In­di­an drug­mak­er Bharat Biotech, meets WHO stan­dards, and that the ben­e­fits of the vac­cine far out­weighs the risks. Two dos­es, ad­min­is­tered with four weeks time in be­tween, are rec­om­mend­ed in all age groups above 18, though vac­cine safe­ty and ef­fi­ca­cy was not de­ter­mined for preg­nant women just yet, the WHO tweet­ed.
