Covid-19 roundup: Eli Lilly withdraws mAbs from EMA review
The World Health Organization has granted Indian-produced Covid-19 vaccine emergency use listing, adding to its portfolio of acceptable vaccines.
A advisory group determined that Covaxin, produced by Indian drugmaker Bharat Biotech, meets WHO standards, and that the benefits of the vaccine far outweighs the risks. Two doses, administered with four weeks time in between, are recommended in all age groups above 18, though vaccine safety and efficacy was not determined for pregnant women just yet, the WHO tweeted.
