The European Union has yet to block any shipments, but its surprise decision last week to restrict vaccine exports is already having ramifications, Japan said.
Japanese officials claimed Monday that the move has impacted their vaccine supply schedule as the island nation, like many rich and middle-income countries, struggles to secure as many vaccines from foreign manufactures as fast as possible.
