Covid-19 roundup: Fau­ci pre­dicts more man­dates fol­low­ing full vac­cine ap­proval; AAP tells FDA to au­tho­rize vac­cines for chil­dren aged 5 to 11

Pres­i­dent Biden’s chief med­ical ad­vis­er An­tho­ny Fau­ci said Sun­day that he hopes the FDA will ful­ly ap­prove Covid-19 vac­cines by the end of this month.

“If that’s the case, you’re go­ing to see the em­pow­er­ment of lo­cal en­ter­pris­es giv­ing man­dates. That could be col­leges, uni­ver­si­ties, places of busi­ness, a whole va­ri­ety. And I strong­ly sup­port that. The time has come and we’ve got to go the ex­tra step to get peo­ple vac­ci­nat­ed,” Fau­ci said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
