Covid-19 roundup: The FDA has reiterated its warning against parasite prevention drug intended for animals; Moderna becomes latest biotech to mandate vaccine

In an effort to re-up a warning about using Ivermectin to treat Covid-19 that was originally issued in March, the FDA tweeted out the obvious.

“You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it,” the agency tweeted, along with the link to a consumer update on its website.

Ivermectin is a drug used to prevent parasites in animals, and the FDA said it’s received reports that patients have been hospitalized after administering the drug to themselves. The consumer update doubles down that Ivermectin is not an anti-viral, and reiterated that it has not been approved to treat Covid-19.
