The high profile move by the ex-FDA commissioner appointed by President Trump may well raise eyebrows in the Republican Party. Hogan has been unafraid to offer pointed criticism of the national response to date, declaring — for example — that America got caught flat footed by the viral disaster while offering tough projections that the response will have to last far longer than the president would care for.
