Covid-19 roundup: Vaccine for the youngest kids may be coming soon; Moderna wins PRV with full approval

A Covid-19 vaccine for children 6 months to 5 years old may be ready by the end of this month, according to a scoop from the Washington Post.

Pfizer and BioNTech may submit an EUA request to the FDA “as early as Tuesday” for this youngest group of children, even as they recently announced a setback for the two-shot series, which showed that when compared to the 16- to 25-year-old population in which high efficacy was demonstrated, non-inferiority was met for the 6- to 24-month-old population but not for the 2- to under 5-year-old population.
