Cre­ative AI gains steam among phar­ma mar­keters in­clud­ing Sanofi, No­var­tis, al­though con­cerns abound

Sanofi re­cent­ly shared a video on Tik­Tok fea­tur­ing chief dig­i­tal of­fi­cer Em­manuel Frene­hard. Stand­ing in front of a blue and red dig­i­tal back­ground, he talks about an AI rev­o­lu­tion in health­care and Sanofi’s com­mit­ment to re­search, man­u­fac­tur­ing and skill build­ing.

But some­thing is off — Frene­hard’s head moves awk­ward­ly, and his mouth doesn’t match the ca­dence of his words. Sud­den­ly, sta­t­ic noise cuts in, the screen flick­ers and then re­fresh­es, re­veal­ing that he’s an AI avatar. The re­al Frene­hard says, “We’re all in on AI. What about you?”
