CSL Vi­for cut­ting 85 jobs in Cal­i­for­nia

CSL Vi­for will lay off 85 em­ploy­ees in the Bay Area fol­low­ing a strate­gic re­view con­duct­ed by CSL Behring, the par­ent com­pa­ny.

The cuts are set to go in­to ef­fect by Oct. 25 at CSL Vi­for’s lo­ca­tion in Red­wood City, CA, ac­cord­ing to a state WARN no­tice.

CSL Behring ac­quired Vi­for for $11.6 bil­lion in 2021, and the com­pa­ny was brought un­der the CSL brand last year.

A CSL spokesper­son told End­points News that a “strate­gic re­view” de­ter­mined that “changes to the CSL Vi­for US com­mer­cial or­ga­ni­za­tion” were re­quired, re­sult­ing in the work­force re­duc­tion.
