Doc­tors are talk­ing about emerg­ing obe­si­ty drugs on so­cial me­dia just as much as lifestyle in­flu­encers and pop cul­ture me­dia. But in­stead of gos­sip­ing about “Ozem­pic face” or com­plain­ing about too many ads on sub­way cars, they’re talk­ing about the po­ten­tial for the drugs as game chang­ers in di­a­betes and obe­si­ty man­age­ment.

The most dis­cussed top­ics among med­ical ex­perts who fo­cus on obe­si­ty and di­a­betes over the past year were weight loss ef­fec­tive­ness (19%) and obe­si­ty stig­ma (14%), ac­cord­ing to The Har­ris Poll, which con­duct­ed a deep dive in­to con­ver­sa­tions on so­cial me­dia for End­points News.
