Eli Lil­ly re­news Twit­ter ac­tiv­i­ty with a new han­dle and 'lim­it­ed' ad­ver­tis­ing and post­ing

Eli Lil­ly is back on Twit­ter with a new han­dle and lim­it­ed ad­ver­tis­ing and mes­sag­ing. Lil­ly pulled its Twit­ter ad­ver­tis­ing and stopped post­ing from its orig­i­nal cor­po­rate@Lil­ly­Pad han­dle last No­vem­ber af­ter an im­poster “ver­i­fied” ac­count spoofed the com­pa­ny.

The par­o­dy ac­count post­ed a fake mes­sage that “in­sulin is free now,” with re­posts shared thou­sands of times and rack­ing up even more com­ments as Lil­ly scram­bled to get the post tak­en down. How­ev­er, the mes­sage end­ed up stay­ing up for hours, as Elon Musk’s then-re­cent takeover and mas­sive staff lay­offs like­ly slowed the so­cial me­dia com­pa­ny’s re­ac­tion time.
