EMA makes recommendations to manufacturers as it aims to stem drug shortages
European regulators are calling on manufacturers and other players in the supply chain to be more open about drug shortages at a time when there are shortages for medications ranging from amoxicillin to Ozempic.
The guidance published Wednesday comes from a task force from the EMA and the Heads of Medicines Agencies set up in 2016 to address shortages, outlines methods to better prevent and manage supply issues.
