Ex­clu­sive: mR­NA CD­MO Ver­nal Bio­sciences se­cures $20M to con­tin­ue its build­out

Ver­mont may be known for maple syrup and Ben & Jer­ry’s ice cream, but one man­u­fac­tur­er wants the Green Moun­tain State to be­come a pro­duc­er of mR­NA as well.

Ver­nal Bio­sciences, a CD­MO spe­cial­iz­ing in mR­NA and plas­mid mR­NA, told End­points News on Thurs­day it se­cured $20 mil­lion to con­tin­ue build­ing a 20,000-square-foot pro­duc­tion site in Colch­ester, VT, just north of Burling­ton. The man­u­fac­tur­er opened its doors in 2021 and has steadi­ly grown to 65 em­ploy­ees.
