FDA looks to work with more outside agencies for inspections as it enters into an agreement for inspections with Switzerland
The FDA is seeking more collaborations with different global agencies when it comes to inspections.
The agency recently inked an agreement with the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, or Swissmedic, to be an equivalent authority in determining good manufacturing practices. The agreement between the two agencies allows for the exchange of official documents between the FDA and Swissmedic, and clears the way for them to leverage each other’s inspection resources for manufacturer oversight.
