Flagship poaches another pharma R&D leader as GSK's Lepore heads to ProFound
John Lepore, the former right-hand man for Hal Barron and Tony Wood at GSK, is departing the UK pharma giant to lead a Flagship Pioneering startup, joining the growing list of industry veterans recruited by the biotech incubator.
He’ll become CEO of Flagship’s ProFound Therapeutics on Oct. 16, taking the place of Avak Kahvejian, a Flagship general partner who has helped launch Ring Therapeutics, Cellarity, Laronde, Generate:Biomedicines and others.
