Flag­ship's Noubar Afeyan re­cruits the next CEO for one of its stealth biotech star­tups

The pow­ers that be at Flag­ship Pi­o­neer­ing have signed the next cap­tain for its fleet of stealth star­tups.

For­mer An­ces­try.com CEO Mar­go Geor­giadis is mak­ing the leap to biotech, join­ing the biotech in­cu­ba­tor as a CEO-part­ner.

Billed as the world’s largest provider of DNA ser­vices that helped peo­ple track their fam­i­ly tree and get some in­sights in­to their ge­net­ic risks, An­ces­try.com sailed to a $4.7 bil­lion buy­out back in the sum­mer of 2020 — a move Geor­giadis helped steer. The com­pa­ny had more than a bil­lion dol­lars in an­nu­al rev­enue.
