Florida sues FDA over dragging its feet on Canadian drug import program's approval
The state of Florida is officially suing the FDA for the agency’s failure to authorize the state’s Canadian drug import plan, after the state submitted its proposal more than two years ago.
“In the nearly two years while Florida’s SIP proposal has been pending, the FDA has asked for several clarifications and supplements but has provided no outward evidence of substantive progress towards approving the proposal,” the suit filed in the middle district of Florida court on Tuesday says.
