
Fresenius centers its own March madness on kidney campaign with former NBA star and kidney transplant patient
March means college basketball madness, but also kidney health awareness. So Fresenius is connecting the two with a new campaign featuring former NBA star and kidney transplant recipient Sean Elliott.
Elliott is serving as Fresenius’ head “coach” in its effort to spread the word about risk factors and healthy living along with assists from its own network of employees, physicians and even patient coaches. The National Kidney Foundation estimates that one in seven US adults has kidney disease, however, more than 95% of those in the early stages and more than 40% of people in later stages of the disease don’t know they have it.
