GAO report calls on FDA to reduce inspector turnover both home and abroad
Just weeks after the FDA announced its hold on foreign inspections will continue into February, the feds’ accountability office is calling upon the regulatory agency to make changes to improve manufacturing safety and efficacy.
The US Government Accountability Office outlined several key issues it wants the FDA to address: develop a pilot program to reduce vacancies in its workforce and highlight open positions among the government’s drug investigators to improve its foreign inspection process.
