German trade union opposes Bayer’s business split proposal
Bayer’s consideration to split apart its business units is facing pushback from a German trade union, which argues that the change would threaten jobs in the country.
In November last year, Bayer CEO Bill Anderson unveiled plans to either separate its consumer health or crop science divisions from the rest of the company or sequentially split up the three divisions of pharmaceuticals, consumer health and crop science.
