GSK settles key Zantac case ahead of trial
GSK has settled a key Zantac case in California state court, the company announced Friday.
The case, filed by James Goetz who alleged the popular heartburn medication caused his bladder cancer, would have been the first Zantac case to go to trial and was scheduled to begin next month. GSK said in a statement Friday that it reached a confidential settlement with Goetz, dismissing the case without admitting any liability.
