Before there were Covid-19 vaccines, there were trademarked names for Covid-19 vaccines. The pharma companies working fast and furiously on the scientific discoveries in 2020 also deployed marketing teams and branding agencies to come up with potential vaccine names.
Pfizer and BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Novavax all filed multiple potential names with the US Patent and Trademark Office in 2020 and early 2021.
