It’s no secret that 2020 has been a booming year for biotech IPOs.
Not even a global pandemic could slow this train down. Through August 20, there have already been 47 IPOs, matching the total number of debuts from all of 2019. Kymera’s debut Friday morning brings the tally to 48, and if the current pace continues, there will be more than 70 biotech IPOs over the course of the year. These four dozen companies have raised approximately $11.375 billion combined.
