Illumina sues Guardant Health, former employees over alleged stolen company secrets
Following continued scrutiny for its Grail acquisition, Illumina went on offense Wednesday and sued two of its former employees.
The biotech filed a complaint against Helmy Eltoukhy and Amirali Talasaz, two ex-staffers who went on to found diagnostics company Guardant Health. Illumina alleges the pair stole company trade secrets and used them to launch Guardant, utilizing Illumina equipment, computers and email to do so.
