Im­mu­ni­ty­Bio lays off 50 em­ploy­ees in Flori­da and Cal­i­for­nia af­ter blad­der can­cer BLA re­jec­tion

Im­mu­ni­ty­Bio has laid off 50 em­ploy­ees — most of them at its El Se­gun­do, CA lo­ca­tion — about four months af­ter the FDA re­ject­ed its bi­o­log­ics li­cense ap­pli­ca­tion for blad­der can­cer, ac­cord­ing to no­tices filed in Cal­i­for­nia and Flori­da.

Ac­cord­ing to the let­ter sent to the Flori­da De­part­ment of Eco­nom­ic Op­por­tu­ni­ty, Im­mu­ni­ty­Bio en­act­ed the lay­offs “to stream­line op­er­a­tions” in or­der to fo­cus on the “cur­rent busi­ness strat­e­gy and re­duce costs.”
