Canary Wharf is already known as London’s financial hub, the former host to the EMA’s headquarters and, for the initiated, the place to get fresh seafood. In a few years’ time, it could have a new claim to fame: home to Europe’s largest wet lab.

Working with specialist Dutch developer Kadans Science Partner, Canary Wharf Group is blueprinting a life sciences building at Canary Wharf. The project is expected to cost about $657 million (£500 million), the Financial Times reported.
