In a bid to push beyond financial hub status, Canary Wharf plots £500M wet lab building
Canary Wharf is already known as London’s financial hub, the former host to the EMA’s headquarters and, for the initiated, the place to get fresh seafood. In a few years’ time, it could have a new claim to fame: home to Europe’s largest wet lab.
Working with specialist Dutch developer Kadans Science Partner, Canary Wharf Group is blueprinting a life sciences building at Canary Wharf. The project is expected to cost about $657 million (£500 million), the Financial Times reported.
