Jaguar Gene Therapy spins out manufacturing with Deerfield, ARCH support
Jaguar Gene Therapy will spin out its chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) operations and create a separate company called Advanced Medicine Partners, with the support of Deerfield, ARCH Venture Partners, Nolan Capital and others, it said Wednesday.
The same investors have backed Jaguar, a preclinical gene therapy biotech based in the Chicago suburbs that was formed by AveXis veterans hoping to repeat their Zolgensma success. Advanced Medicine Partners declined to disclose how much financial support it is receiving from the investors. ARCH has backed other manufacturers like National Resilience.
