J&J's Alex Gorsky bagged $26M in pay and perks for 2021, land­ing near the top of the Big Phar­ma CEO lad­der

J&J’s com­pen­sa­tion re­port is in and the phar­ma gi­ant’s then-CEO Alex Gorsky — now ex­ec­u­tive chair­man — bagged an­oth­er rich pay pack­age for 2021, which will like­ly leave him near the top of the list of high­est-paid phar­ma ex­ec­u­tives.

Ac­cord­ing to J&J, Gorsky raked in right around $26.7 mil­lion, a $2.8 mil­lion drop com­pared to his pack­age of cash, stock and ex­tras worth $29,575,974 last year. How­ev­er, that in­come still keeps him well above Eli Lil­ly CEO David Ricks, who made $23 mil­lion, and Bris­tol My­ers Squibb’s Gio­van­ni Caforio, who claimed $20 mil­lion in 2021 in­come.
