John Reed lands in the top R&D post at J&J in his lat­est Big Phar­ma de­but

John Reed is on to his third act as a Big Phar­ma R&D chief.

The sci­en­tist with roots that run much deep­er than his stint as head of San­ford-Burn­ham has trad­ed in his job or­ches­trat­ing the pipeline at Sanofi in fa­vor of his new role as the top phar­ma de­vel­op­er at J&J, where he’s tak­ing the place of Math­ai Mam­men. His first act in Big Phar­ma came as Roche’s head of R&D at pRED, where he stepped in along­side the big shake­up that shut­tered its cam­pus in Nut­ley, NJ.
