
John Reed lands in the top R&D post at J&J in his latest Big Pharma debut
John Reed is on to his third act as a Big Pharma R&D chief.
The scientist with roots that run much deeper than his stint as head of Sanford-Burnham has traded in his job orchestrating the pipeline at Sanofi in favor of his new role as the top pharma developer at J&J, where he’s taking the place of Mathai Mammen. His first act in Big Pharma came as Roche’s head of R&D at pRED, where he stepped in alongside the big shakeup that shuttered its campus in Nutley, NJ.
