At the start of the End­points News event Tues­day morn­ing, I polled our in-per­son au­di­ence about whether they were more op­ti­mistic about the in­dus­try this year than last. And al­most every hand went up. All the ex­ec­u­tives I’ve chat­ted with talk about deal­mak­ing as the rea­son. Peo­ple need ex­its, and they’re get­ting them, and that’s bring­ing back a broad­er set of in­vestors. And with it comes more cap­i­tal for the next round of com­pa­nies. — Drew Arm­strong
