Just how low did the gov­ern­ment go with first IRA of­fers? Phar­ma’s not telling

Medicare price ne­go­ti­a­tions un­der the In­fla­tion Re­duc­tion Act have of­fi­cial­ly kicked off, but phar­ma com­pa­nies with drugs on the list are keep­ing qui­et about CMS’ ini­tial of­fers.

On Thurs­day, the agency sent drug­mak­ers its pro­posed max­i­mum prices for the first 10 drugs up for price ne­go­ti­a­tions tak­ing ef­fect in 2026.

What’s the of­fer? No­body will say.

CMS has said it won’t talk dur­ing the process, un­less man­u­fac­tur­ers de­cide to take the in­for­ma­tion pub­lic. So End­points News reached out to all of the drug­mak­ers with prod­ucts on the list.
