Labcorp expands Alzheimer’s blood tests for doctors and drugmakers
A simple blood test that predicts whether a person is likely to have Alzheimer’s disease is now available to doctors and drugmakers.
Labcorp, one of the nation’s biggest clinical testing companies, announced Wednesday that it launched a new blood test to detect the brain protein called tau. The protein typically accumulates after the buildup of amyloid plaques that are a hallmark of the disease.
