Life sci­ence VC Ver­tex Ven­tures HC rais­es $200M in new fund

Ver­tex Ven­tures HC is launch­ing its largest fund yet, with $200 mil­lion and co-led by for­mer phar­ma ex­ec Chris­tine Bren­nan.

Ver­tex Ven­tures HC (VVHC) said Tues­day that it launched its third fund, which will be run by Lori Hu, a found­ing mem­ber of VVHC, and Bren­nan, for­mer chief busi­ness of­fi­cer at Vi­tae Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals and the for­mer head of strat­e­gy and op­er­a­tions of busi­ness de­vel­op­ment at the No­var­tis In­sti­tutes for Bio­Med­ical Re­search.
