Man­u­fac­tur­ing-cen­tric SPAC makes a deal to com­bine with French CD­MO

As small­er biotechs out­fits are look­ing to go pub­lic, the spe­cial pur­pose ac­qui­si­tion com­pa­ny, or SPAC, space has been quite an at­trac­tive al­ter­na­tive. Most re­cent­ly, one SPAC is look­ing to make moves in the man­u­fac­tur­ing space.

eu­reK­ing, a health­care SPAC fo­cused on bio­man­u­fac­tur­ing and pro­duc­tion, has sub­mit­ted an of­fer to ac­quire the French con­tract man­u­fac­tur­er Skyephar­ma for an undis­closed amount. Skyepharma­has been in busi­ness since 1996, pro­duc­ing tablets, cap­sules and oth­er forms of oral med­i­cines.
