Man­u­fac­tur­ing roundup: AGC Bi­o­log­ics opens new fa­cil­i­ty in Mi­lan; Charles Riv­er drops Q2 num­bers

CD­MO AGC Bi­o­log­ics has put the fin­ish­ing touch­es on an ex­pan­sion of its fa­cil­i­ty in Mi­lan, Italy.

The fa­cil­i­ty, named AGC’s Mi­lan Cell & Gene Cen­ter of Ex­cel­lence, is a man­u­fac­tur­ing site des­ig­nat­ed to pro­duce vi­ral vec­tors for cus­tomers. The site in­cludes a new fill­ing line, more lab space and ware­hous­ing fa­cil­i­ties.

AGC ac­quired the site in Ju­ly 2020 to boost its cell and gene busi­ness. The CD­MO cur­rent­ly has an­oth­er cell and gene fa­cil­i­ty in Long­mont, CO.
