Man­u­fac­tur­ing roundup: Eu­roAPI to ac­quire oligonu­cleotide mak­er for $10M+; EU na­tions face Trulic­i­ty short­age

Eu­roAPI will ac­quire Ger­man-based BianoGMP, a con­tract man­u­fac­tur­er of oligonu­cleotides, for €10 mil­lion, or $10.9 mil­lion.

Found­ed in 2017, BianoGMP main­ly fo­cus­es on pro­duc­ing oligonu­cleotides for cus­tomers do­ing pre-clin­i­cal or Phase I work. Eu­roAPI is pur­chas­ing the com­pa­ny as it is boost­ing its oligonu­cleotide pro­duc­tion busi­ness. Last year, Eu­roAPI said it was spend­ing €18 mil­lion, or $19.5 mil­lion, for new equip­ment at its man­u­fac­tur­ing site in Frank­furt to pro­duce around 500 kilo­grams of oligonu­cleotides per year by 2025.
