Man­u­fac­tur­ing roundup: In­vest­ment firm buys Pfiz­er fa­cil­i­ty in Aus­tralia; Cam­brex opens new fa­cil­i­ty in Bel­gium

Pri­vate in­vest­ment firm Bridgewest Group has closed its ac­qui­si­tion of a for­mer Pfiz­er man­u­fac­tur­ing site out­side of Perth, Aus­tralia.

The new fa­cil­i­ty, lo­cat­ed in the Perth sub­urb of Bent­ley, will now op­er­ate as a CD­MO site un­der the name No­vaCi­na and will man­u­fac­ture ster­ile in­jectable drugs. The site has nine pro­duc­tion lines and a head­count of over 400 work­ers. No­vaCi­na al­so has plans to ex­pand its of­fer­ings by adding more equip­ment and an­a­lyt­i­cal ser­vices.
