Manufacturing roundup: Investment firm buys Pfizer facility in Australia; Cambrex opens new facility in Belgium
Private investment firm Bridgewest Group has closed its acquisition of a former Pfizer manufacturing site outside of Perth, Australia.
The new facility, located in the Perth suburb of Bentley, will now operate as a CDMO site under the name NovaCina and will manufacture sterile injectable drugs. The site has nine production lines and a headcount of over 400 workers. NovaCina also has plans to expand its offerings by adding more equipment and analytical services.
