Marc Tessier-Lavigne steps down from Regeneron board
Marc Tessier-Lavigne stepped down from Regeneron’s board of directors. The move comes after he resigned as Stanford University’s president following a scientific misconduct investigation.
Regeneron announced Friday evening that Tessier-Lavigne retired as of Sept. 1. He had been on Regeneron’s board since 2011.
An investigation opened by Stanford’s board of trustees found that several papers for which Tessier-Lavigne had been a co-author or principal author had manipulated research data. The investigation committee didn’t find evidence that Tessier-Lavigne himself had falsified or manipulated scientific data.
